Relief food distribution in Salima Central - Malawi, on 19 / 06 / 2022. Majority of recipients were villagers, who were affected by the destructive heavy rains that destroyed subsistence farms of the already impoverished people in many parts of Malawi in 2023. The hunger was exacerbated by the subsequent drought that hit many parts of Malawi the following year. Many people in rural areas are dependent on relief to this day.
